Music "Techie" Stuff:
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW of the RECORDING PROCESS
The Rocks Cry Out CD was recorded at Sanctuary of Sound in Kennesaw on an Otari MX-80 2-inch 24-track recorder running at 30 ips and an Otari Sound Workshop console. The project was mixed to 2-track on an Ampex ATR-102 1/2 inch recorder, modified for half-track and running at 30 ips.
The 1/2-inch stereo mixes were mastered to digital at Rodney Mills Mastering in Duluth and replicated at Project 70 in Atlanta.
